Participants in the Conference on Intellectual Property agree on the need to increase cooperation among institutions and private entities
As we have informed in a previous post, an interesting Conference on Intellectual Property organized by Salvador Ferrandis & Partners with the collaboration of the International Police Association (IPA) and the Integral Centre for the Security and Emergency Training of Madrid’s City Council (CIFSE) took place last Friday 25th of September 2015.
This conference was aimed exclusively at State Security Forces and Bodies with the objective of offering complete information about how to detect trademark counterfeits of products of companies such as Swatch, Ford, L’Oréal, LVMH, Adidas, Nike, Harley Davidson, Sanofi, Durex or Scholl.
One of the main goals of the event was to improve the cooperation among the representatives of the different firms, lawyers and members of the State Security Forces and Bodies to better combat counterfeiting.
The presentations were discussed in real-time through different websites, namely TWITTER and FACEBOOK sites of IPA(@IPAinterpolice) and CIFSE (@CIFSATRAINING), which facilitated a greater dissemination of the event.
The conference was closed by the President of IPA’s local office in Madrid, Antonio Jesús Gómez Montejano and the Coordination’s Chief of CIFSE, María Cruz Sánchez Rodríguez, who awarded our colleague Alberto Bosch a distinction in gratitude for the organization of these conferences and for its active implication in the fight against piracy.
